About Mrs. Dewitt
I have very high expectations for my students and I believe in the success of each of them. We come from diverse backgrounds and have even more diverse futures, so our classroom atmosphere is interesting, fun, and very rigorous. I promise to give students the best opportunity, that I can provide through instruction, to be successful. However, I cannot and will not do the work for them, they must be willing to work hard and learn in order to be successful in PLTW courses. Each of my students is more than capable of well in the classroom as long as they do their very best work.
I have spent 80 hours training to teach each of the PLTW BMS courses available at WOHS. I went to The University of South Carolina at Columbia in the summer of 2012 for 2 weeks. During those 2 weeks I completed the entire curriculum that students will complete in a semester.
